ABOUT ME

I'm intentional and focused. I'm dependable. I'm a planner and organizer. Sometimes I could learn to loosen up a bit. I've been married since May 1997. I have one child born in November of 2010. I'm a pastor in the United Methodist Church and faith is important to me, but I am open to conversations with people from a very diverse set of beliefs and backgrounds and enjoy meaningful conversation with people who have questions or different perspectives. I love backpacking and getting outside.

Interests

I do a lot of reading. I meet with lots of people for all kinds of things. I like playing with my son. I enjoying backpacking. I organize a community garden in my neighborhood. I enjoy dating my wife.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Laying in a tent 100 yards off of Lake Michigan in Nordhouse Dunes under the stars with a full moon and my nine-month-old son asleep next to me.

Sailing from Northern Michigan to Upstate New York helping a friend move his sail boat. Getting caught in a storm and grounding out in the harbor.

The moment I was sitting in a little chapel and felt like God was telling me to be a pastor.
