About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Let the Beauty we love, be what we do.

ABOUT ME

We are a fun-loving couple who are embarking on the art show circuit. Gas is expensive... and so are hotel rooms! We're nearing retirement, but want to travel and meet new people!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an authentic flower child; spent the late sixties in L.A. and attended the Monterey Pop Festival where two friends and I stopped while hitch-hiking to San Fransisco. I think the one thing we left behind in the 60's that we should have kept is LOVE. I am a free-thinker and try to be more loving and accepting each day. My husband is an artist and a hippie wanna-be. He's making great progress.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far we've hosted several delightful people and have "surfed" quite a few couches, meeting wonderful and interesting people in our travels. We talk up couch-surfing to our artist friends we meet at shows who seem cool enough to get the concept.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I mention couch-surfing to everyone we talk with about our travels. I tell everyone what a great time we've had. The big question for many people is safety. I always respond that we've felt much safer doing this than staying in the motels we can afford! People who get involved in couch-surfing are always so nice.

Interests

Art, Spirituality, Music of all types. Good Movies, evenings with friends. Cooking. Experimenting with vegetarian lifestyles. Writing, reading. Politics. Wine. Dancing. Yoga. Meditation. These are not in any type of order.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Tao Te Ching, Be Here Now, Illusions, many more
Movies: Across the Universe, Mama Mia (not usually a big fan of musicals, but these two hit the roof) Garden State; Love, Actually; When Harry Met Sally; Men in Black (the original) many others
Music: Everything under the sun except cry-in-your-beer country and violent rap. Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Indigo Girls, Doors, DeBussy, Chopin, John Meyer, Cindi Lauper, Sinead, Sade, John Prine, Goo Goo Dolls, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Celine Dion, Dylan, Cranberries, etc. etc. etc. I do enjoy classic country and intelligent rap.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in L.A. during the late 60's... magical. I met, at separate times, two of the Beatles while in L.A.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach music to adults and children and relaxation techniques, including meditation, breath, simple yoga and mindfulness. My husband teaches art to young folk, has had wood turning experience and can teach welding. I was also a professional astrologer for many years in California, so could help with that if necessary.
