About Me

I had lived in the city for more than a decade, then decided to move back home after I got fed up with it.

I now teach civil engineering at a university near my hometown.

During semestral breaks (or when I feel like it), I go out of town, and partake in new cultural experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Classics. I grew up on the wonderful world of Little Women and Anne of Green Gables. Yes, I am a POTTERhead :D

Movies: Those quirky WES ANDERSONs! Anything that has Cate Blanchett -- she's amazing. Animated Disneys and Ghiblis.

Music: While I'm a proud Lady Gaga Little Monster, I'm into a lot of music genres: pop music, rock, jazz. I love everything Sara Bareilles writes. I have a special love for musicals. (doing theatre was a childhood dream)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sign up for Couchsurfing :)

Sleep overnight in airports (on a couch, on the floor) while traveling alone, especially when my flight arrives late in the evening and it's too troublesome to find accommodations or travel home.

Teach, Learn, Share

Share travel experiences and culture, especially East Asian cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dried Mangoes!

When you come visit the Philippines, I can take you to some of the the country's gorgeous beaches or show you the breath-taking views from mountain peaks.

If you're into living on the edge, come bungee-jumping with me :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
