About Me

I recently graduated from Georgia Tech and I am excited to use my time to look for new adventures. I am starting by traveling in some countries in Europe! I like to try new things (especially foods) and I ENJOY cooking. If you ever want me to cook for you, I will gladly do it :)

I have a very unique background: I am Mexican-American and I have 5 siblings (I am the oldest), I went to school in a mostly Black (African American) community, and then I went to University with a diverse and competitive community. I have experienced and learn so much from this but there is always more to learn and experience and share with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to travel the world, meet new people, and experience different cultures. Doing this alone is a little scary for me, especially as a solo-traveler. Couchsurfing sounds like a great way for do this and to make a new friend!

Interests

Cooking, traveling, hiking, singing to the radio (especially if no one is around), and having fun with friends and family. I am also a big Harry Potter fan! I went to Harry Potter World in Universal Studios Orlando and I really want to live there :/

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music: Panic! At the Disco, covers by Postmodern Jukebox, and instrumental/acoustic music. I listen to a large variety of genres and will definitely listen to new artists.

Favorite Movies: Jurassic Park (1993) is my favorite movie! Jurassic World was great too! Rocky Horror Picture Show, Meal Girls, White Chicks, Donnie Darko, Memento. I think the best movies are the ones with plot twists, especially if they are "mind bending" like Memento and Donnie Darko.

Favorite Books: I didn't know this but I have actually read a lot of books. The Giver by Lois Lowry. Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling but in particular, The Goblet of Fire. Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins. The Unwind and Everlost Series by Neal Shusterman. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Just finished "A Series of Unfortunate Events". Just started reading "A Song of Fire and Ice" Series by George R. R. Martin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I am currently doing it. I graduated and then left my temporary job at university to travel for 40 days in Europe. Alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you English and Spanish. I would love to learn more French. I only know enough to survive (hopefully). And am definitely interested in learning about other cultures and I will try to learn more languages. If you're interested in cooking, I can help or maybe you can teach me how to make a dish. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Growing up, I did not have much, but somehow I still grew up to be a generous and modest person. I do not have much with me on my travels but I can always share my experiences/stories and a big smile. :)
