About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have been so lucky in life, I'd like to give back. Plus getting to know people is always a great way to make life so much better.

ABOUT ME

I am an avid reader and traveller. I have spent lots of time away from my hometown but I always come back here. My family lives here, but I live by myself. I work very hard, like to play guitar, watch TV series, ride a bike or go for a walk with Pancha and Tomasa, my two yellow labs. No drugs allowed, however.

PHILOSOPHY

"There but by the Grace of God go you or I". I believe I have been very, very lucky in my life through no apparent effort on my part. I do believe in Karma and would like for this lucky streak to continue, so I try to do good deeds every time I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been an Exchange student, have uprooted and moved to six different cities a mínimum of 10 times and I believe I understand the desire that makes us all travellers. I believe myself to be multicultural and to have a very open and relaxed attitude towards people from other cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. Well, that's not entirely true. I once spent a night at a Red Cross hospital because there were no hotel rooms available. And I once had to spend a night in a borrowed house with no Windows and no furniture. It was very, very cold. Mine will be more inviting -not deluxe accomodations, but a good, safe place to spend a night or several.

Interests

Reading, travelling, getting to know people. Dogs, bike riding, music. Learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men", Thoreau's "Walden". Love science fiction movies and books (Arthur C Clark, Vonnegut". I will listen to most any kind of music. At least once, but I like any music where you can actually hear the musical instrument and the musician's skill. Not much for opera, though. I like lots of movies, but mostly comedy or light fare.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As Bob Dylan wrote "I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I've crawled on six crooked highways
I've stepped in the middle of seven sad forests..." Not one single thing as amazing by itself, but it's the whole tapestry of one thing flowing into another that have made my life what is is today. And it's a good life.

Teach, Learn, Share

From my own perspective in life, I find that been alive is a magnficient gift and we gather Little bits here and Little bits there. I have travelled and read and talked to people, always with an open mind and heart and find that, during the course of a conversation, there are things to learn and things I get to share. Let's have a conversation and find out what it is that we will be learning.

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Japan, United States
