When I was studying abroad in Thailand, I promised myself that I would never stop living the way I did there, even back at home. I always want to be meeting new people and learning new things, even if it's Indiana culture in my Illinois home.

Watch the sun rise over Bagan! I took a night bus from Pyay, Myanmar, to Bagan with some unbeatable travel companions. We arrived in the middle of the night, rented bikes near our guesthouse, and rode in the dark quickly enough to see the sunrise from the top of a temple. I had no concept of how far Bagan's temples would sprawl, and as the sun climbed higher, more and more kept coming into view. One of my Spanish friends told me she had "goose pimples" (she meant "goosebumps"), which I think is such a sweet and perfect way to describe how breathtaking it was.
