Hey I'm Ash! I left my life in Australia to travel through South America to make new friends, see incredible destinations and create countless memories. I'm interested in sustainability and environmental awareness & education as well as getting outdoors and going hiking, camping and just being surrounded by nature. I love conversing and hearing different philosophies and theories - over a good beer or two of course! At home I work as a designer - so I'm also into art, design, photography and enjoy watching a good film.

Part of the reason I'm travelling is to make some exceptional friends along the way. While I enjoy staying in hostels and meeting other travellers, I also like to stay with locals and get a better understanding of how life is in that particular part of the country. Staying with locals, for me, tends to be a more memorable experience and I can practice my Spanish more!

Leaving my life, and my dog, in Australia and coming to South America was a pretty amazing thing for me. It's a journey I've wanted to take a for a long time and it took my a while to build up the courage to do it. But here I am!
