ABOUT ME

I am 24 years old, soon to be 25, am traveling the world, or at least trying to but money is always a bit of a struggle. I love getting to know people of all different cultures and nationalities and learning from them- getting new perspectives of the world, trying to see things from a local perspective and notice the similarities and differences between cultures and groups within cultures. I am open minded and easy going and have learnt alot and continue to learn alot on my travels.

I think this website is an amazing idea to help people see the world in a less touristy way by making new friends and sharing new perspectives.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only joined up to this site after a friend told me about how great it was, In my previous flat in Wellington, NZ we always had people staying on our couch and I loved it, there was always someone new and interesting to talk to, it kept the flat interesting and meant I met a lot of lovely people. Two of the guys who had stayed on our couch said If I ever wanted to go stay in Canada I was welcome so off I went 2 years after theyd stayed at my place and they were amazing to me so kind and I had a local perspective straight away without having to struggle through the touristy stuff to see what was going on in real life. Even though I like touristy stuff I also like to see what the locals are doing.

People, Culture, Nature, Living..these things are always so hard to write without being really cheesy or trying to be funny..so I am intereted in figuring out what Im interested in.
