About Me
"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is all-knowing and all-aware" ~The Quran (49:13)
Salam! Mi nombre es Ashad. I am passionate about traveling, learning new things, and meeting different people. I started traveling when I learned to read! Yes, in my imagination and my dreams. I would like to share a piece from "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost:
"The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."
That's my mission - to go as far as possible. I prefer off-the-beaten-track destinations.
Besides traveling, reading always makes me happy. I can live with a good read and an empty stomach. The following quote from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice reflects my thoughts:
"I declare, after all, there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library."
I love reading stories, travel blogs, and history. I read, I forget.
I used to listen to the radio or music a lot. I miss the time from 2008-2013 when people were obsessed with FM radio here in our country. Based on my mood, every genre of music interests me. I like watching cricket and can talk about cricket endlessly.
"I am not what I think I am; I am not who you think I am. I am who I think you think I am."
I believe actions speak louder than words. You better explore who I am.
For Surfers: Please read the home information before you request to stay. I used to live in Motijheel, which was almost the center of Dhaka city. All but 3(Fredrik, Akash, and Ashish were hosted in Sanarpar, Narayanganj ) of my hosting references were received while living in Motijheel.
Now I live in Sanarpar (Narayanganj). Make sure you Google the location before you send the request. Sanarpar is a suburban area laid beside the Dhaka-Chaittagong highway. Though it is geographically located in Narayanganj district, it is on the outskirts of Dhaka city.
I prefer to host on weekends (Thursday to Saturday). However, if you are a true surfer and can convince me through your stay request and profile I may host you any day.
