The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes.
I have just finished Uni and have recently moved to Berlin!
In the same way that one has to accept the weather, so one has to accept how one feels about life sometimes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I am travelling it is the only time I feel like I am living in the present and fully experiencing life. Completely throwing myself out of my comfort zone and discovering a new city, country, and culture makes me aware of the world I live in and is an experience I am completely addicted to.
So far it has been absolutely fantastic. I have CouchSurfed in London, Oslo, Reykjavik, New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Montreal, Thessaloniki, Berlin and Turku.
Travel, cinema, long train rides with a good view or a good book, learning new words/theories/skills/facts/languages, cold countries, snow fights, specialty coffee, vegan cakes, yoga, getting lost in beautiful places, using art as a way to create a discourse about important issues in society, spending hours in galleries and museums, photography, printmaking, craftsmanship, dying crafts and art practices, veganism, feminism, anti-speciesism, anti-racism, anti-homophobia, pro-choice, the list goes on.

Music, Movies, and Books
The cinema is one of my favourite places to be. I will always love films by Luis Buñuel, Jean-Luc Godard, David Lynch, Lars von Trier, Hitchcock and so many more.
I love to read; travelling provides the perfect opportunity to become completely engrossed in wonderful books. I am fascinated by the stories, theories, ideas, and philosophies of: Albert Camus, Milan Kundera, Kurt Vonnegut, Margaret Atwood, Jacques Derrida, Judith Butler, Deleuze and Guttari, Giovanni Aloi, and Steve Baker.
Musically, I have many different interests. I will play you some of my favourite songs, if you will play me yours.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing at the top of Mt Santis in Switzerland on a clear day in the middle of winter with a 360 view of six different countries is something I will never forget.
Hitchhiking in Iceland and camping overnight by a beautiful lake in the summer, with no night fall was one of the most exciting and beautiful experiences of my life!
Oh and that time I went swimming in the Baltic sea when it was -6 degrees in Finland.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a pinhole camera out of a matchbox and make bird noises with your hands. Also, I know A LOT about coffee and can make a mean cup o' joe.
I have always wanted to learn how to play the violin and how to speak Russian.
