About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to see as much of the world as I can! My bucket list includes backpacking Ireland (planning for February 2016!), the AT, checking out Iceland, eating as many interesting foods as possible, seeing Mt. Fuji in person, dog sledding, publishing a book, and kicking ass and taking names!
ABOUT ME
I'm generally very quiet and reserved, love a good cup of coffee and rainy days. I'm a liberal with weird hair and sort of a dark sense of humor.
If we're being honest....I'm sort of a nerd. Anime, Lord of the Rings, Pokemon, My Little Pony (though to be fair, I grew up watching the original!)...
PHILOSOPHY
“It pays to keep an open mind, but not so open your brains fall out.”
― Carl Sagan
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
WHAT DO?
I am hoping to travel quite a bit, taking advantage of Couchsurfing, so I want to be able to reciprocate. I also love meeting new people and hearing their stories--so come over with good stories! ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all music (with the exception of country, as a rule), but my favorites at this point in time are Chvches, Purity Ring, Sigur Rós, Brett Dennen, Kid Cudi, Elephant Revival....lots of stuff!
I like action flicks and animation, as far as movies go. I have sort of a short attention span with those kinds of things.
Books! The Dresden Files series is my current favorite, but I'm a die-hard Harry Potter fan. I read the Song of Ice and Fire series but if I'm being honest, it kind of drones on a bit too long for my liking. I stay away from Stephenie Meyer and her ilk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved 1000 miles away from home all on my own when I was 18, and made a life for myself in the Colorado Rockies. I'm pretty fearless and resourceful!
Teach, Learn, Share
I play the ukulele (I know...so unique :I), know a ton about the Colorado wilderness (not that that helps anybody at all if they aren't in Colorado...), can tell a great joke, and love to cook. I have loads of interesting stories, like to sing, and am happy to help you with English.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always happy to do some chores, cook a meal, walk your dog, whatever you need! I like the idea of leaving postcards from my home base. I will be courteous and quiet, clean, and leave everything as I found it.
(I feel weird for needing to say this but...no sex.)
