About Me

I am a laid back Christian woman who loves meeting and learning about people. I’m a nurse by trade & have a natural bent for working with my hands & serving others. I currently work as the manager on a cardiac step down unit. I have three beautiful daughters & a husband who all keep me busy. We love to laugh, cook, and travel together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m excited to get started with couch surfing. My husband and I are planning an anniversary trip to tour France in August 2019, and had never heard of Couchsurfing before! When I did I immediately fell in love with the idea—this is hospitality at its finest! Not only would I love the chance to utilize, but have just finished building our farmhouse in Southeast Missouri with room to spare! I have always envisioned our home as a welcome place for travelers & I am excited to open our home on this platform.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like so many different types of music—classical, Bluegrass, Latin, Reggaeton, Contemporary Christian, Classic Rock, Country...I listen to music based on my mood and activity.

Books-all the classics, especially Jane Austin and Emily Bronte.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught myself to whistle with two fingers by watching YouTube!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to sharing the history and culture of the St. Louis Region and Ste. Genevieve with guests. Our location offers the traveler many opportunities to discover popular outdoor activities such as hiking, hunting, biking, canoe/kayaking, etc. We also have lots of wineries in the area and historical sites.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share pretty much anything—a good glass of wine, a positive attitude, my excellent (mostly) cooking or dishwasher skills :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico
