Hey there! My name is Ash, and I am a California native currently residing in The Land of the Morning Calm. I'm entering my second year teaching English to adorable kids and having a blast bartending on the side at one of the foreigner hotspots downtown.

I'm quite involved in the Gwangju community here, and am typically out and about socializing on the weekends - dancing, acting or performing, singing in noraebongs, and camping when the weather permits. I'm an open person who loves meeting new people, and most people I know would probably refer to me as somewhat of a hippy. Which I am totally thrilled about, haha!

I love meeting new people and gleaning new ways of perceiving the world from the eyes of someone new. I'm a very open and accepting person, and it's a wonderful thing to engage and connect with someone over anything at all. I'd love to help anyone who is in need, and to perhaps learn something from each person who shares my time and place with me. :)

I'm really into nature and love experiencing new things. One of my hobbies is playing the Native American flute, which I'll occasionally do down by the river downtown or at an Open Mic Night at any one of the numerous places that host musicians on the regular.

...And so on and so forth. I was born in the wrong era, haha! As far as movies go, fantasy all the way. Labyrinth is my favorite, followed closely behind by The Lord of the Rings triology.

I read a lot, but am quite a fan of fantasy of course, and the likes of Stephen King. But all the classics are great as well. I'll devour any sort of book!
