Hey yall! My name is Ashley and I am from Canada. I have been travelling for the past 10 months and have been able to visit so many incredible places in Europe!

I should start by saying I am beyond grateful for both the opportunities to travel and the lifelong friendships I have made along the way. I truly couldn’t have made a better decision and it’s been incredible to see how much I have grown!

One important thing you should know about me is that I LOVE learning. I want to share memories, learn local recipes and make friendships across the world! Really I love learning anything and everything. They do say knowledge is power :)

I have only recently started using Couchsurfing as I was recommend it by a traveller I met in Scotland. She talked about all of the amazing people she met and how much she loved the platform, so I knew that I wanted to try Couchsurfing as well!

As I am new to the Couchsurfing community, I am happy to call/text with you beforehand if you would like! I want to make sure that anyone I meet using this app feels comfortable and safe in my company :)

My favourite part about travelling is meeting people from around the world! I love having random conversations and learning about other peoples lived experiences. Every single person has a story and everyone is so unique!

I have volunteered in 5 different hostels around Europe by using Worldpackers. Using Worldpackers is one of the best decisions I have made while travelling. I met so many world travellers who have invited me to stay at their homes. I loved that I got to learn so much about them and see the world through their eyes in their cities. I loved hearing about their lives, visiting the restaurants they love, homes they grew up in and all the stories that come with those memories!

So Couchsurfing for me is a tool to meet new people. People from all over the world who share the common love of travel and opening up their hearts to new possibilities and friends. 🫶

Books - I am a die hard romantic comedy reader. I’m currently reading ACOTAR and I am in love with the characters! Also random travel books because I mean I love travelling and trying out new things :)

I can share good conversation, meals and stories of my travels/life! I love talking and sharing about anything and everything.

I have also learned a few different cooking recipes along my travels that I would love to cook for others! (And if you would like I would love to learn more recipes and traditional dishes. I love learning especially in the kitchen 🫶)
