My name is Ashley Rees and I am a recent college graduate. I like learning. This not only applies to academics but the world and myself as well. I believe that traveling and experiencing new cultures and people is one of the best way to lean about the world and myself. I am energetic and love being around other people.
I have never really known what I wanted to do with my life, In college, I changed my major three times because I could not commit to one industry of work. The only thing that I have ever really been sure of is that I want to see the world. I have always wanted to experience other people and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am interesting in travel. I am also interesting in meeting new people and having new experiences. I think couch surfing is a great way to ensure that there is at least one person you know when you travel somewhere new. I also think this gives one actual insight as to how a country works. Instead of staying in a hotel and experiencing only the big tourist attractions, you have an opportunity to experience the everyday activities that occur within the country.

Interests

I am interesting in the outdoors, especially when it is sunny, but alas, I am pale so the sun does not enjoy me as much as I enjoy it. I am interested in meeting new people. I love talking to people and making new friends, I am incredibly social. I love adventure but I am also very cautious. My life is a conundrum. If we are being honest, I am a very simple in the way that all things interest me. I believe that generally, it is far better to regret the things we have done than the things we have not. Because of this belief I try to be willing to try everything once. That is not to say that I always succeed. I am human and there are times that fear takes over, but generally, I try to be adventurous.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide array of music, movies, and books. Currently, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Beau Taplin, and Rupi Kaur are my favorite authors. As far as music, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness seems to be my favorite. I enjoy the album that he has out and have listened to it repeatedly. 500 Days of Summer is my favorite movie, I like that it does not have the typical ending that we have come to expect from movies.

I have graduated with my bachelors degree at age 20.
