About Me

I am a classic wayward graduate at the moment and am awful at deciding what I want to do with my life.

Defiantly an introvert. I can happily spend weeks on my own. If I see lots of friends within the space of a few days I will be glad when I I get a bit of quiet time. This doesn't mean I am shy though as I extrovertedly tell the extroverts.

I like to think of myself as adventurous. I have built a survival shelter and slept in the woods before. Tried many different drugs when offered them by friends. I attempted the uberman cycle in my final year for 3 weeks. I am defiantly not an uberman, I overslept a lot.

I have a spiritual streak in me and have sampled the whole chabang of yoga meditation fasting all sorts. I can defiantly see why people are put off vauge hipyish spiritual people as I find a lot of the surrounding ideas and literature to be, well bullshit. There is defiantly some wisdom to spirituality which keeps me interested though

I forget how nerdy I am having been surrounded by physicists at university. When I am at the pub I often end up coming out with statements which make me remember what a nerd I am.

I over think politics a lot to the point where I am always unsure about my political views. For example thinking well I think this because I assume that but if that's not true. I tend to lean left on a lot of things e.g. universal basic income that most would find absurd but it seems a good idea to me.

I'm mildly funny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

24/04/17 I am cycling from my home in the UK crossing at Dover and then following my nose as far a I can around Europe until I get bored or run out of money. I am mostly planning to stay in a tent but would love if I could stay with hosts while visiting cities.

14/06/17 Peoples generosity is ridiculous and humbling. Here is a list of things people have given or done for me so far; A warm meal (some 3 courses including wine and cheese). Food to take with me. Washed my clothes. A place to put my tent. Electricity. A shower. A Cool bag for food. Socks. Hours of good conversation. Somewhere to put my tent while I watch the football in town. A guitar to play music with my host. New pedals and two full hours from a bike expert to fix my bike as well as cycling shoes to go with the pedals. All without couch surfing. Just turning up on the door step.

However. I hope couch surfing will help me meet fluent and native English speakers. It's really hard going trying to speak to some of my hosts who know no English. It can also give me a guaranteed place to stay in a big city ( not everyone invites me in to meet their daughters).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a month or so one summer learning Bohemian Rhapsody on guitar. The arrangement was by Edgar Cruz. A good listen. I have forgotten most of the arrangement now though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

24/04/17 have a rustic but tasty approach to cooking. I like to try and make everything I can from scratch and even went so far as making my own flour from almonds once. I also make damn good humus and was famed for it at university.

I have some really wierd views on politics and life in general and love a good debate.

If you like getting your nerd on then I could teach you some theoretical physics.

If you own a guitar we can Jam and I could teach you some licks.

I have been getting into woodwork and fixing old bikes recently perhaps I could do some DIY for you.
