About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeing every state west of the Mississippi right now. Finishing another book. Meeting people.

ABOUT ME

You could probably say that I am always on the move, trying to make people go on adventures or taking off at random. When I settle down in a city I am always working a couple jobs and on a couple projects at once. My best friend makes fun of me for being a spazz all the time cause I am always trying to do too many things at once.

PHILOSOPHY

"Unexpected travel suggestions are dancing lessons from god"

Interests

New things are what grab my attention. I spend most of my time writing science fiction books (yes, I am a nerd) so I am always looking for something to inspire me. The weird things that occur in day to day life are what I am always looking for. I spend a lot of my time putting myself in new situations to test how I and the people around me react.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the first time I ever really felt like I was in awe was when I was 16 years old and my host father took me to see Mount Fuji in Japan. I remember feeling smaller then I had ever felt before. It was my first time I had felt truly humbled by nature. Realizing that the world was so much bigger then my 16 year old ego had ever imagined was a turning point in my life.
Another time was a couple year ago. I had gotten sick, very sick. I was hiding it from most of the people I knew. The few that did know where trying to get me to have the surgery I needed but I could not afford the procedure or taking the time off I would need to recover. My few close friend who knew the situation got together with my coworkers at one of the bars I worked at and everyone pitched in one night and donated the tips they made to help me through the recovery time. My boss let me know I could take as long as I needed off to get better. When they presented the money to me and made a couple silly speeches I cried my eyes out just out of awe and gratitude. It was one of those moments when you realize that being a human is being part of something so much bigger sometimes.
