ABOUT ME

I come from a small town in New Jersey, and moved out to California in August '10 to work for a non-profit called City Year. I lived in east LA and tutored/mentored students in a 6th grade class for 10 months, which was the hardest but greatest experience I've had so far. My time spent there has left me with the desire to travel to impoverished areas and help people in any way I can. I've got big dreams and endless plans, but hardly any general direction. I love music and dancing, singing and experiencing different cultures, beliefs and ideas. i'm trying to learn guitar right now and working on getting some gear to start surfing as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I blindly moved to Santa Cruz in August '11, ironically choosing it because it was the only community college in California that offered a student housing building (that wasn't in the middle of nowhere)but realized i couldn't afford it, so i couch surfed for a month before finding a new place to settle down. i met really awesome people and have returned the favor as much as possible since then!
