About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to travel and experience new things as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I am a French teacher and writer/filmmaker based in the LA area. My wife is a fine garden maintenance manager and a photographer. We love to travel in our spare time and also enjoy hosting others! We have two cats, Hattie and Merlin.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is to be open-hearted and kind to everyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to participate by being a respectful traveler and a gracious host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never been a part of the Couch Surfing Project before, but I know several people who have and love it. They say it is a perfect way to get a true sense of another culture. I’ve hosted plenty of exchange students in my life and been one myself, so this feels very familiar to me.
Interests
I am interested in art, writing, film, and pretty much anything. I love to read and I speak French and English basically fluently. I am interested in learning new things and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS: I love to read and adore talking about literature. I read pretty much any genre, but my guilty pleasures are definitely fantasy. Lately, I’m nonfiction, I’ve been reading a couple books on writing and fiction-wise, I’m reading a book by Nikita Gill called the Girl and The Goddess, which is a novel told through poetry.
MOVIES: The Fall, A Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Stranger than Fiction, Booksmart, Lady Bird.
MUSIC: KT Tunstall, The Cranberries, Tegan and Sara, Britney Spears ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I backpacked through France during undergrad and I was able to stay with several friends that I hadn't seen in years. The best part was sharing part of the trip with my younger sister.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a language teacher, I love the idea of language exchange. :)
I love to show people my Los Angeles, so if you stay with me, I can either take you places myself, or figure out the easiest way to get there.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be happy to cook you a meal to say thank you for hosting me and if you’d like some French or English
