Hi! My name is Ashley and I am a 22 year old student finishing up my bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently studying abroad in Bangkok until June and exploring countries in Asia when I can.

I love thrifting, photography, and hiking. I also love learning about different cultures and learning new languages. :)

I am seeking to immerse myself in the Japanese culture during my two week long spring break from my Thai University.

I would like to experience Japan more in depth than the average tourist by seeing the day to day of a citizen as well as improve my language skills. While I was studying Japanese in high school, I completed a home stay in Toyama and really enjoyed it.

Finally, I am seeking to find a home stay because though Japan is known for its safety, I have never solo traveled before and would like to have guidance and protection of a Japanese friend.
