Hi! My name is Ashnar and I love to travel (and I love ice cream!). I try to visit at least one new country every year and my goal is to visit Central Asia (specifically Tajikistan) and East Africa (Kenya and Tajikistan) soon! My academic background is in International Studies and Public Service, focusing on rural development. One of my life goals is to travel as much as I can to find the perfect location to open an environmentally focused organization that will operate in rural areas of developing countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love visiting new places and making friends from around the world. I would love to experience a place as authentically as possible and I believe that starts with connecting with locals. I hope Couchsurfing will allow me to share stories, learn more about different cultures, live like a local and find the best hidden (non-touristy) ice cream spots in the city!
