Overview
About Me
Hi, I am Ashok
I have been living in USA for more than 25 years. I lived in Taiwan for a year and grew up in India. I have traveled many countries for months on a business trips. My experience traveling makes me believe the world is a beautiful tapestry woven with diverse cultures, stories, and friendships. I’m drawn to history, traditions, cuisine, and the unique artistry that defines each region. To me, the most meaningful way to understand someone’s point of view is by understanding their culture—and there’s no better way to do that than by forming genuine connections with locals. Every trip enriches my perspective and reminds me how beautifully different—and yet deeply connected—we all are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m new to this platform, but not to the joy of exploring the world. I’ve traveled extensively for both business and leisure, but now I’m seeking something deeper—authentic, human connections that go beyond guidebooks and hotel stays.
I believe the best way to truly understand a place is through its people. Staying with locals opens the door to rich stories, hidden gems, and unforgettable meals that no tourist itinerary can offer. I’m excited to learn, share, and grow through the kindness and culture of those I meet.
Looking forward to starting this journey with the amazing souls who make Couchsurfing what it is—a global family of adventurers, storytellers, and generous hosts. Let’s make memories together!
