About Me

We're Asia and Russ, a couple of married writers from the Bay Area, California.

In 2011, we sold all of our belonging to travel slowly around the world, and it's been an amazing experience! Our favorite destinations so far (that we can agree on jointly) are India and Mexico. But, really, we find something we love about all of the places we visit.

Speculative fiction is our passion. Between us, we write stage plays, screenplays, and short stories of fantasy, sci-fi, and magical realism. On a nonfiction note, Russ writes regularly for a Sacramento-based business/tech magazine and Asia contributes stories to lifestyle and travel magazines.

Overall, we're a peaceful couple with tidy tendencies and we'll respect your space as if it were our own. Our goal: To continue exploring life and the world together, and connecting with great people and places along the journey.

Three things we can't live without are: 1) Fast and reliable wifi--it's how we work. 2) Quiet space to read and write. 3) Great/open conversations with hosts!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most amazing thing we've done: sold everything to travel the world. Most amazing thing we've seen: So far it's been the forests of Wat Umong during a 3-day meditation retreat. The field of broken sculptures and the 14th-century maze-like tunnel that was said to keep a crazy monk from wandering from the temple. Also Yi Peng (floating lantern festival) and Loi Krathong in Chiang Mai were incredible!

Teach, Learn, Share
