About Me

I am a meteorlogist, web designer, penguin lover, photographer, avid traveler, ice cream connoisseur, and outdoorsy person now living in Salt Lake City Utah.

When I am not hiding away in a coffeeshop working on my next big project, I am away on an adventure somewhere, whether it be an hour drive away or halfway around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I helped organise the Boulder CS community weekly mixers from 2010-2014 and was an organiser for both the 2012 & 2013 Boulder Couch Crashes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch movies, but never in theatres.
I listen to every kind of music, but country.
I am an avid reader, but not a fan of romantic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen so many amazing things in my life it is hard to only pick a few. Whether it was watching the sun rise over the Dead Sea from Masada in Israel, or driving 18 hours through the day and night to reach the Pacific Ocean by dawn. Randomly ending up on a ferry to Canada or staying in a leaky cabin in Hawaii. Making new friends in a bakery in Berlin or hugging old friends back here in Denver. To me life is all about the adventure and enjoying every minute of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

My first advice to anyone wanting to get started with CS is to get to know your local community first. Not only will you make amazing friends in your own home town, but these new friends will both be great advice and references for you when you want to start your travels.

Also, another rule I live by is to always ask questions if you have them. It can be anything from someone favourite pub or restaurant in town, to asking your host/surfer for a favour. In the end, the worst thing you could do is never ask.
