I am Aslı originally from İzmir, Tukey, based in Ulm, Germany.
I try to be out of my comfort zone and challenge myself from time to time. My current biggest challenge is learning German (and I must admit it has been ongoing for a while…).
I like to go to concerts, movies, or exhibitions in my free time (and make my time free specifically for these occasions). I am a very outgoing and social person in general.
I love to see and explore new places, city gazing, get to know new people… so basically anything to broaden my horizons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet like-minded people and get to know places from locals’ view (and hopefully find some hidden gems through tips).

Music, Movies, and Books

What I like is usually very broad and changes depending on how I feel at that moment.
I like mainly rock and jazz music. I have multiple playlists to lift me or motivate me and I guess it would be impossible to limit the genre in them.
Feel-good movies are usually my go-to. Other than that, I enjoy catching more independent/festival movies in the theater.
Lately, I try to read more non-fiction and I am open to suggestions. If not, my hand will always go for something with a good story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to spread my cooking knowledge and some tips which make your life in the kitchen easier.
I would appreciate any help with my German learning journey.
And I am always ready to share my enthusiasm for the social life of the city, especially more local events.
