Overview
About Me
I´m a student living in Copenhagen, Denmark, studying German at the University of Copenhagen - who by the way can´t wait to go to Germany again!
I live in a dorm and absolutely enjoy sharing kitchen and everyday with my dorm-friends, especially since it includes dining together, talking about life and always having spikeball-players around. I love being spontaneous, meeting new people, going secondhand-shopping and really appreciate treating my mind and body with evening dips in the ocean to mark the end of great day!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last summer I went couchsurfing with friends in South Germany, which was a lot of fun and extremely interesting for me as a German-student to get the chance to meet "real" Germans and see what everyday life was like for them. I met a lot of interesting people and was deeply grateful for the welcoming attitude we were met by wherever we went, which gave me insights into the cities we visited, but also into life in general since most people were willing to share personal stories. So basically I´m just a huge fan of a concept, that brings people together and is based on trust!

Music, Movies, and Books
Fil Bo Riva, Bon iver, Bruckner and other indie artists - especially German speaking - are what I would primarily listen to. I´m currently reading a graphic novel about Hannah Arendt, but enjoy reading Herman Hesse and am very much looking forward to digging into some Austrian literature, which will be the up-coming project of me and my friend´s recently founded book club!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After high school I had a lot of ideas of how to spend my gap year, but since I couldn´t fit all my plans into one year I chose to go with 3 instead. I spent one year working at a Danish boarding school, taught German in primary school, attended a Danish "Højskole" and went to Berlin to live in a WG, take German lessons and just meet people and experience life in the vibrant and historical center of Europe. Soo today I´m just very glad that I didn´t apply for university straight away, but took a "break"to gain other kinds of insights!
