We are Pierre and Astrid, 27 and 25 years old, from France. We left home 2 years ago to explore the world and get inspired by cool projects in the topic of Appropriate Technology. We meet people and associations involved in this topic and more generally who act for a more sustainable world. We’ve camped and hitchhiked a lot, also did some informal couchsurfing, being hosted by people we meet on the way. Since we arrived in South East Asia, we don’t travel with our tent anymore, we feel like we meet less locals so we are eager to get back to couchsurfing more often !

We’ve been traveling since 2 years without plane and therefore crossed the Atlantic and Pacific oceans by sailing boat, from France to Indonesia, on 8 different boats
