Overview
About Me
I love to travel and experience new cultures first hand - so much so, that I'd like to visit at least one country per year!
When I am not working, I dedicate my time toward my creative ventures such as writing short stories, filmmaking, and writing music/performing with my band.
My personality is more so type B, laid back, and introverted so I would consider myself as the ideal houseguest. :) But I really enjoy hanging out, especially if it has anything to do with live music or food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CS because of the sense of culture swapping it encourages.
When I travel and stay alone, it is very easy to be intimidated by the newness of everything and stay in my hotel room instead of fully immersing myself in the new culture and experiencing all that it has to offer. I enjoy meeting up with the other CS travelers and local hosts, sharing stories and experiences, and learning from one another.
Music, Movies, and Books
My "favorites" vary and shift often.
Overall, I tend to enjoy music, movies, and books that present me with new theories, concepts, and ways of thinking. Not exclusive though - I still regularly watch Disney movies and slapstick comedy sitcoms and read MaryKate and Ashley books (don't judge).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm, I'll revisit this question in 5-10 years haha I've been pretty lame thus far.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Spanish or English. I actually taught languages and tutored while in college so, let's just say, I kind of know what I'm doing :)
I can share food recipes or cook while I'm visiting (I'm a recent convert to vegetarianism so I've been learning quite a bit in this department).
If I happen to meet a fellow musician or writer, then we could swap stories or collaborate on something!
