A sociable introvert, I'm a kind, fairly quiet woman who smiles at strangers and enjoys meaningful conversations about anything, everything, and nothing.
And when I am at a loss, as to what to do next, I try to remember:

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate as a surfer when I travel.

Locally, I just went to my first potluck, and look forward to attending more local events.

Once I move into my next stable living situation, I look forward to opening my door as a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have surfed couches in Tacoma, WA; Chicago, IL; and Pittsburgh, PA. All three experiences were fabulous. Each host welcomed me graciously into their homes. We shared meaningful conversations about our lives and passions, when time and our varying schedules permitted. Staying and connecting with locals (or transplants who call the place *home*) adds an enriching layer to the overall travel experience. I look forward to meeting more people via couchsurfing, as I travel.

Good novels and short story collections that keep me up reading into the night.
Going to see live stand-up and sketch comedy.
Writing.
Trail running. Astrology. Yoga.
Hanging out in cafes. Talking story with folks.
Taking long, meandering walks alone. Or with a good friend.

Eating unbelievably good food. Learning to make incredibly good food.
