My name is Asun and the question "who am I?" had me engrossed for most of the last year. Now I can say: I am a sensitive being in constant learning, cyclical, changing; I love sharing life with other people, giving and receiving love; I also need time in solitude, in silence, since that is the only way I can listen myself. I see myself as a being of light, and also of darkness. I honor everything that makes me up. I am compassionate, and I am also human. I'm not perfect and I don't want to be.

My profession does not define me; what I do does not define me; the countries or places I have visited either. All this gives me experiences and those experiences are the path that has brought me to this moment, to this being that I am today.

Today I say I am an explorer and a worker for peace. I dream of belonging, of living in harmony within a community; in, with, from, and for nature. I believe in healing through love.

I am going to India to learn the philosophy of yoga, buddhism and other life philosophies that help to live in peace. My goal is to know and accept myself better so that I can also know and accept other human beings. I want to embrace my origins and, from that gratitude, collaborate in creating a more beautiful, more tolerant, kinder, more loving world. Namaste!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing it's not a free couch or free hotel but a lifestyle, because it gives me insight into a culture that would be hard to get when you're staying at a hotel or hostel. My main motivation is to meet people and share experiences, learn another way of life, and also to share long talks. In my travels, I would love to meet new people and new mentalities from different countries, learn new traditions, foods, cultures, histories.

I want to live like the people who live there.

Leave everything, work, home, family, and travel the world (since 2017).
Buy a car in Canada and make it my house for almost two years along Canada, USA and Mexico.
Working with sea turtles and meeting the largest of them all.
Live in San Cristobal de las Casas and learning with Zapatista movement (EZLN).
Love very strong. Every day. To all sentient beings.
