About Me
Hello and good day to you fellow Couchsurfer! I'm Ata, a 24 year old guy born and raised in Tabriz, Iran. A former professional musician who used to play mostly traditional drums like the Daf, Udu, Qaval and Cajon for multiple orchestras, I would gladly perform something for our dear guests. Fluent in English and well versed in exploring the hidden sights of this city, I'm more than happy to entertain any guest coming my way! With a traditional style house/art studio that's very close to the city center and readily available public transport (bus, taxi, metro) I invite you all to join me in making lifelong memories in the crown jewel of north-western Iran.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to offer an unforgettable experience to any foreign traveler, whether it be the rare spots that no tour guides know of, or finger licking delicious cuisines, or even some more casual activities for younger audiences such as hangout spots and internet cafes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mostly listen to metal music (mainly Metalcore , Power metal and Prog) with some Classic Turkish rock/rap songs added to the mix.
I've read many video game related books such as the Witcher, Metro and Warhammer 40k.
No specific taste in movies as long as there's company, but I watch realistic war related movies when I'm alone, favorite one would probably be Full Metal Jacket by Stanley Kubrick.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have performed the Daf (Persian drums) on the largest concert hall in Iran (Tehran - Taalar-e-Vahdat), alongside many other performances with a traditional music orchestra.
