ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous person who loves taking risks and having new experiences! I'm a pretty restless person, so I'm not too great at just sitting around and relaxing (although I am a pro sleeper)--so I have a nasty habit of overworking myself and saying yes to everything. I've got a wacky geeky sense of humor and can't control my facial expressions.

My favorite things to do are skip and jay walk, and I usually accomplish both simultaneously.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only started couch surfing a month ago but it's been a really positive experience so far - everyone has been super welcoming and taught me so much about traveling! I'm kind of bouncing around traveling at the moment, but I hope one day I can give back and host other people as well!

And BONUS no one has been a serial killer yet, despite my parents assertions

兴趣

Social justice issues are super important to me and I consider myself a student activist. I do a lot of work in the Asian American community, such as running after school arts program for Chinatown youth and mentoring Asian American students on my college campus.

I also really enjoy music -- particularly contemporary alternative music and 80s music (<3 Prince). I love visiting museums, particularly contemporary art museums. When I'm not studying (I usually am) I also love reading for pleasure! David Foster Wallace is a genius.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My first shift working on an ambulance when we had a patient in ventricular tachycardia and we shocked him with an AED. It was the single most empowering experience of my life.

Biking through the neighborhood of Osaka where my Dad is from. I have never so much fallen in love with a place, and the more I travel the world the more I feel like Osaka is home.
