About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a vegetarian Canadian-Indian who has been fortunate enough to have lived and traveled many places with my family, friends and by myself. I have met so many unique people along the way and they have all played a role in who I am today.
I'm pretty chatty and quite easy to get along with, if I do say so myself haha.. I'm super outgoing and very rarely do I feel awkward.
My goal in life is to work in the field of conservation and animal welfare. Maybe open up an animal sanctuary and to help control stray animal populations (don't know where yet..but probably India, since it's so close to my heart). I love exotics and want to work with them after I'm done university.
I like to volunteer at the local animal shelter and I'm also a Bat and Wildlife Carer. I also foster and babysit animals when ever we can.
I love dancing and art! During uni season its pretty hard to find any spare time for it though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have couch surfed in Oslo, Tromso and again in Oslo and recently in Gatton; I've hosted some friends in Guelph and Oshawa with my family. I've also hung out with a couch surfer in Amsterdam who was awesome enough to show me around town.

My partner and I've hosted a surfer in Gatton, as it was quite convenient that she worked at the same clinic that we volunteered at. We have also hosted a few Canadians, students from Melbourne and a few people passing through whil travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've couch surfed and LOVED every second of it!! My hosts have been wonderful people and have been super willing to introduce me to their culture. That is my favourite part of the experience. I find it way more interesting to be submerged into the culture, see random things that aren't necessarily highlighted on a map and learn unique facts that I might not have known if on a regular-old tour.
I also really love hosting. Its truly a great way to feel like a citizen of the world.
