ABOUT ME

I am a software engineer, coder. I am working full time for an internet company. I like cycling. I read a lot. I take photos. (I've taken about 60 thousand photos.) I publish some of them on Flickr. (http://flickr.com/samett)

PHILOSOPHY

I read a lot about universe, space. I like Carl Sagan and his thoughts.

I am a volunteer of free software, free as in freedom. I think free knowledge, free as in freedom, will save our souls.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like sharing, talking and walking.

I am available evenings in the weekdays, and available all the weekend. If I host you, we can tour the city. I can introduce you to local people (friends of mine).

I have a couch in the living room, also I have a portable bed. I have a couple of blankets. You can use cook your own meal if you want. Also there is wireless internet connection at home.

I love couchsurfing, met with great people during my trips.

Interests

I spend my time with books (online or usual books) and with coding. I like to develop tools for myself and for others.

I like cycling, orienteering. I have a bike, Trek 4400D.

Also I have a camera, a Nikon D80, Nikon SB600 flash and a couple of lenses. I like constructing do-it-yourself kind of tools for photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Sci-Fi and historical movies, I think this both sides give different view points.

I listen to Cranberries, traditional folk music. I like enstrumental songs.

I try to read different kind of books. I read a lot of sci-fi books, nowadays I am reading books about economy and antropology.

I like novels, I have read hundreds of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't seen/done very amazing things, but these are the things that I find amazing:
* I climbed to a huge hill (maybe a small mountain) with my brother. I was 12. When we reach to top, that feeling was amazing. It is unbelievable. Top is flat and too large.
* I remember birth of my brother, that was awesome.
* I have a small surgical operation. It was an ordinary small operation but, first walking after that was great.

Here is the things I may want to learn about:
* Cultures of your country, especially your hometown.
* What are you doing to earn money, what is your occupation?
* Do you have a extraordinary pet?
* Do you like outdoor activities? Biking, climbing, orienteering, or just walking?

* How stuff works, all kind of stuff, I try to learn about everything I use.
