I am Athanasios, or Thanasis, or Thanos.
I grew up in NorthWest part of Greece in a city with no sea (!) called Kozani.
Studied Medicine in Bratislava, Slovakia, and today i am doing my rural year in the health centre of Patmos, a beautiful small island in the southeast part of Aegean sea.
Having studied abroad, I got used to travelling as i was lucky to have plenty and great destinations just a couple of hours aways.
Since then travelling is my basic financial outlay!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I started rethinking and redefining travelling when i found out how you can perceive a new place through the eyes of locals.
Getting to know a place is more about how locals live, eat, drink, enjoy and interact each other, rather than sightseeing and hop on-hop off busses.

So i'm not getting satisfaction until i find this great small restaurant where students eat, or this underground bar with those resident djs who love their music, or getting lost to streets and allays and squares where locals hang out.

For all these, unless you live there, i believe, CS is the closest you can come to!

Just the average next door guy, listening to loads of music and looking for company on doing things.
Occasionally working out.
Used to dj when in uni.
