ABOUT ME

Who ever knows what to write about themselves here?! I am a lucky, lucky girl. I have had a long list of fantastic life experiences, made possible by an even longer list of fantastic people that I have been blessed to know. Traveling and meeting new people is what lights my fire, so to speak. I love laughing and I always choose to look for the best in people. I'm real, I'm silly, I'm smart enough to hold an intelligent conversation, and I have been known to have a "blonde" moment or two.

While at home, I worked at restaurants and bars for a good majority of my life, to get myself a BA degree in Anthropology and to fund my travels. More recently, I worked as a Mad Scientist (teaching science in fun ways to kids), educator at Sea World Orlando, and promotional specialist for a local distillery. I've done a LOT of different things.

I'm a bit of a gypsy, and I love to travel alone but meet with people as I go. I want to learn about how real people live in the places I travel, and I'm trying to pick up languages as I go. Trying being the key word. Want to help?

PHILOSOPHY

1) Do what's right and avoid what's wrong.
2) Do the best you can.
3) Treat others as you wish to be treated.

While growing up, my father would say these three rules to me every day. As I started going out on my own, he would simply hold up three fingers as he said goodbye. I never forgot. Simple, common sense, but vital.

I've stayed with and made several great friends in Europe through CouchSurfing, and I love it. Best way to travel and meet people and learn about other cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?? Biked around the Dingle peninsula with a best friend, singing songs to get us up the hills and avoiding cars as we sailed down the hills. Beautiful day, beautiful scenery, beautiful company, beautiful bruises, beautiful exhaustion.
