About Me

Hi, I’m Atiyeh — originally from Iran and now living in Istanbul 🇮🇷🇹🇷
▪️ I’m a curious person, always exploring new paths in life.
▪️Sometimes I’m very social, and sometimes I’m not 🧐
But don’t worry! 😉✌️
When I’m not in a social mood, I won’t host, meet, or stay with anyone. So whenever you see me, it means I’m fully ready for talking, listening, discovering, and connecting — like a little energy bomb ✨

▪️For a few years, I worked as a graphic designer in Iran, and teaching photography was also part of my work. After moving to Turkey, I wanted to try different kinds of jobs — and I did. These experiences gave me a deeper perspective on work, quality, and even life itself.

▪️I’m very passionate about art; from ceramics and calligraphy to Iranian music and singing. For me, art is not just a hobby, but a way of self-discovery and building deeper connections with people.
Besides art, I love traveling, discovering new cultures, and having long conversations — conversations full of stories, poetry, music, or even the simple everyday thoughts of life.

▪️One of my big dreams is to have a home in the future that becomes an artistic and cultural space — a place where people can come together, create, learn, and enjoy being with each other. 🏡

▪️These days I’m also learning English. For me, learning a language is not just a necessity, but a new way to see the world from a different perspective.

▪️I try to be a good listener, I pay attention to details, and I’m always curious to hear about other people’s experiences.

▪️I believe even a short encounter can leave a lasting impression.🥂❤️✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, I truly love traveling—and this is not a cliché. It has been a part of me since childhood. Since I cannot travel as much right now, I want to meet countries, cities, and mysterious places through people. It’s something that is within reach for me now, and at the same time, a bridge to my future journeys.
My very first hosting experience was when I was 8 years old: we were on a bus, and I heard someone speaking English. I asked my father to talk to him and translate for me. That person became our guest and visited us several times afterward. It was my most fascinating hosting experience, and from that time on, curiosity has been deeply rooted in me.
For me, Couchsurfing is not only about practicing languages or making friends—it’s about feeling that the whole world is my home, and that friendship has no borders. After immigration, sometimes the lack of close friends is difficult, but meeting new people from different places makes me feel I’m not alone.

Interests

I love discovering new music and sharing it with people.
Skating and swimming are among my favorite activities.
I also enjoy talking about lifestyle, different ways of traveling, and people’s mindsets. It’s fascinating for me to hear how others experience and interpret the world.

  • learning new things
  • learning new languages
  • share experiences
  • learn more languages

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually like traditional and classical Iranian music
But I mostly listen to instrumental music while working
I am open to listening to every kind of new music.

I read more books about photography and the history of photography, but now I try to read and learn English with basic English books.

usually I don't like watching movies.
But I sometimes watch social movies.
But I prefer to watch disneyland animations and all kinds of documentaries: about the planet, animals, cooking and under the seas and oceans. . .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving and flyboard in Persian Gulf (Khalij-e Fars)
I work in a coffee from workaway that was amazing it was the first experience that I did something out of my field

Teach, Learn, Share

If someone speaks multiple languages, I’d love to hear about their experiences and learning methods. I also enjoy sharing ideas for quick and simple cooking—even just recipes or fun random finds from the internet. I usually cook in a spontaneous way, and I find that randomness exciting.
As much as I know about photography and graphic design, I’d be happy to teach and also to learn more.
If anyone is interested in learning Persian or Turkish, I’d gladly teach. In return, I’d love to learn even a few words or sentences from other languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Share experience and do something about art make and do something as a hand art with different material. I can teach software about graphic or photography,
Teach a little bit turkish or english or Persian
Persian as fluent,
*** Also we love to do new things out of our field to make new experiences too ***
