ABOUT ME

My head's usually rather disorganised and my thoughts and therefore words all come tumbling forward in the wrong order so I've been known to go off on tangents, only to return to the point I was making 10mins or so later. This is only helpful if you are still listening by this point I guess.I would think to describe myself as chatty, socialable, enjoys her wine, loves dancing, sunshine, BBQs with cold beer and travelling.I've been known to partake in a bit of belly dancing and my partner and I are currently attempting to learn Mandarin...can't say we don't like a challenge!

PHILOSOPHY

Mind over matter, a positive attitude can do everyone the world of good...I must remember that more often!Also, a life without risk ain't worth having if you end up living with regrets.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My partner and I have hosted a couple of times but mainly I've been involved through attending events in Edinburgh, namely BBQs, parties, ceilidh's, Edinburgh Rocks talent show and treasure hunt (which we came 2nd in due to the lack of a seagull on a statues head at the appropriate moment - drats!)

Interests

Dancing - belly dancing (badly, but it's all about the fun, no?)Wine, particularly a nice Italian red!Catching up with my friends and family.And of course travelling and immersing myself in new cultures!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One? Gee....well something beautiful that absolutely sticks in my mind is the masses of steam rising and the smelly sulphuric water bubbling in the hot springs as Jamie and I were 'hiking' in Iceland....amazing country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach someone how to say 'I don't want to eat bacon' in Mandarin, 'I have forgotten my homework' in German, or 'where is my knife?' in Swahili...not all relevant but hey ho!!
