ABOUT ME
I'm a guy who loves to learn languages, for one thing.
Used to work as a news reporter and newscaster for public radio, now starting a job for tv writing questions for a quiz show.
I grew up on a dairy farm in central Sweden.

PHILOSOPHY
You can't take anything with you when you go, but you can leave something behind for those that stay around.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted and been hosted, both on and off of Couchsurfing.
This is a good way to get it a bit more formalised I guess.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was doing couchsurfing for several years through friends and acquaintances before joining the site.
One summer of love in 2013 I hosted quite a lot. Then had a nice roommate (Ion Svinarenco on here) for a couple of years and only received my next guest in July of 2016.

Expanding my own universe is the main reason I'm on here, helping others expanding theirs is another.

LOVE movies, of many genres.
Though I usually avoid name dropping, I like for exeample Claire Denis, David Lynch and Aki Kaurismäki when it comes to directors.
Cate Blanchett is one actress I like.
Charlotte Rampling is another.

Swedish film usually isn't that good, but directors Björn Runge and Roy Andersson are two exceptions worth checking out.

All sorts of music, but prefer electronic and heavier dance music.

I currently don't read as many books as I used to or would like to be able to say. Nawal El Saadawi, Patrick Modiano and Abdellah Taïa are a few examples of late.
Recently I've started to appreciate fashion magazines slightly off the mainstream.

Portuguese with a Brazilian accent,
will teach for useful phrases in almost any language.

Since now I acquired some basic knowledge of Finnish I can give hints on that as well.
