ABOUT ME

I did my undergrad at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was temporarily a scientist working in Madison, Wisconsin. Living on a vibrant campus of travelers and worldly people made me want to expand my horizons as far and wide as possible. Recently I've fallen in love with the outdoors all over again, and we've begun hiking and traveling in New England.

Learn as much as you can, as soon as you can, and never take it for granted.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted, along with some past roommates, a few couch surfers. During a three week backpacking trip through parts of Europe we couch surfed as much as possible and had an incredible time doing so. We met amazing people, saw stunning things and places, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now officially surfed and hosted and I can honestly admit that this is an amazing opportunity for meeting locals and learning about new places the way only natives can teach you.

Intereses

I spend most of my time in a research lab, so we've been trying as much as possible to get outside and put our camping/hiking gear to use. Not super easy stranded in Boston without a car, but we make do.

Música, películas y libros

Netflix is life. Sometimes we sit on the couch and watch Antique's Roadshow for an embarrassingly long time. I'm a true product of my generation and love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc. I'll read almost any scifi you put in front of me.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Climbed a glacier in Iceland and then repelled down the wall of a crevasse. The water cascading down into a deep blue glacier covered in black volcanic ash is one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced. A few years later a dreamy man proposed to me inside a waterfall in Iceland. I like that place.

I enjoy meeting people who have had experiences that I have not yet had the luxury to try. I love expanding my goals and life plans as I learn more about the possibilities that are open to me.
