About Me
Hi there! I'm an almost-graduated college student (December 2019, here I come!) working towards a degree in Plant and Microbial Biology. I just finished an internship at the biggest greenhouse in the Midwest as a horticulture specialist, and I have worked as a research assistant with plant genetics and breeding for a few years, so if you ever wanted to geek out with someone about plants, I'm your girl! As my jobs and career choice might suggest, I love to be outside. I'm a recovering planner and perfectionist, and my favorite thing is to go on spontaneous adventures and explore the world around me. When I'm not on the go, I really enjoy reading, watching movies, doing macrame, and relaxing into a yoga flow. I'm a light and organized traveler, and I love meeting new people wherever I go!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to grow my network of friends across the country (and hopefully the globe!) as I take on solo adventures. I love gaining the insight of locals and learning about new places, cultures, and lifestyles.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like just about anything and am always looking for new music to listen to! However, I do lean towards electronica, R&B, and alternative.
Movies: My guilty pleasure is always kids' movies -- How To Train Your Dragon, anyone?! Otherwise, I'm always in the mood for anything funny or with a good storyline.
Books: I am an absolute addict to fantasy and gothic romance novels. I spend enough time in the real world as is, so it's fun to escape into a different one!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is such a hard question! I feel like I've had a lot of amazing opportunities and experiences! However, one that does stand out for me planning and completing a 3-week solo trip to Seattle, the Olympic Peninsula, and Spokane on a college student's budget. I had such a blast!
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes, of course! I love to teach -- I'm actually hoping to be a professor one day -- so if you're curious about anything that I do or know about, just let me know! I am also an avid learner. I'm a "jack-of-all-trades" type, so I love collecting skills and knowledge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a really outgoing personality and tend to be a pretty decent conversationalist. I love sharing stories as well as listening to them! I also love to cook and bake, and I would be happy to join my host in the kitchen or prepare something on my own.
