Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Experience the world, for itself and from those who know it best.
ABOUT ME
My friends, some of which have known me for decades, would call me fun, laid back, generous, and humorous. My couch is always open, my dinner table always has an extra chair, and my porch is the best room in my house. Come see.
PHILOSOPHY
Have an open mind and an open book. Both will serve you equally well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted many people who come to check out my university, I am surprised I haven't gotten on sooner. While I will probably mostly host for the next year, I am traveling over the summer. Seeing a city is good, seeing a city through the eyes that live there is both more honest and interesting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted plenty, just not on the site. Looking forward to seeing a few new places and people.
Interests
Cooking and trying new foods has always been a favorite past time. I love to read, as far a genera I am all over the map. I am a big fan of almost anything that gets me outside. I am an budding photographer, studying landscape architect, practiced bartender, and huge fan of movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
Where to start?
Anything by Herbert Asbury wrote, Gang Leader for a Day, The Godfather, The Princess Bride, Game of Thrones(recently), Gone With the Wind, Pillars of the Earth, I like Jane Jacobs take on planning, but leave room for Glaeser's take on the city, The Sands County Almanac, Devil in the White City, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, oh and occasionally I still read comics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Three years ago I moved to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, my best friend had me close my eyes and walked me right to the edge. I had never seen anything so old, beautiful, and huge. I lived at the rim for six months and everyday it looked different, like the sea.
Two years ago I moved to New Orleans, I joined AmeriCorps and worked with communities. The amazingly lucky opportunity to join a dancing parade krewe came up and I seized it! My first Mardi Gras I danced down St. Charles to Canal Street 3x. If you've never been to NOLA, you've never seen a parade.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone. As it turns out... I haven't learned everything yet. Guess I'll keep trying. The best way I learn is from others, whether that is the telling of a story, instruction of a skill, or just the experience of living life alongside another.
