Figure out what i want to do for the rest of my life...
Wrote that when I was 16, when I left home for the first time. Now I'm 20, and still have to admit this was the best description of myself I've ever done:
[...We travel to seek, but to escape as well. Seeking ourselves overseas, where we have nothing to hold onto, no expectations to satisfy. Where there are no boundaries, where the frontiers aren't barriers, where fellow travelers are teachers. They teach you who you are, introducing you to your limits. I travel to escape something, something I still can't describe. It still hurts too much. I travel to seek who I am; a question to which I knew the answer before I left for the first time. But since I tasted to the feeling of pushing my souls where it has never been before, the feeling of letting the music be my heart pulse, since elsewhere means now home, I am constantly on the search of the real me. Someone I thought I knew but I've been wrong about for so long. I'd rather spend years exploring myself, then even more exploiting someone I don't know. But by the end, where have I been? Since I left home, coming, going? Have I got any closer to the answer? Obviously, my mind has seen more than my eyes did. I understood that freedom is a spiritual state. I realized that on my quest to myself, I tried also to quest others, but I lost my soul at the task. Now that my head is full and my heart is empty, I am only waiting to find a reason to stay. Until then, when someone asks me ''When will you stop travelling?'' I answer without doubts but full of wonders ''As soon as I'll know my limits, but as of now, I still feel out of reach''....]
Ive read that quote once and felt something so true about it: "Never refuse an invitation, never resist the temptation, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience."
Otherwise, my real own personal motto would be what my father thought me when I was a kid: "Do want you want, when you want it. Do it for yourself, do not care about the others.. And if they don't agree with what you do, well they may go to hell! "
ahhaha, love you dad :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am always available to hang out with surfers and help them travel around the city! Im also the nicest Travel buddy ever for other solo travelers :D
I have surfed over 15 countries of this beautiful world, met dozens of great host and CS companions; They have all changed me in some ways. Now I bring this new person back home: Me. I spread the great news around : No matter where you go, the people you'll meet will be the best souvenirs of your journey. Daddy doesn't feel like hosting, he's not on the same mood as I am, so let's hang out together in my city.. And when I get older, when I will have my homesweethome, I'll become one of these greatest "past traveler/hosting travelers"
Olalalaa... Hard question. Besides the classic interest that any CS has (and that I share as well), like seeing beautiful landscapes, learning about different cultures & meeting new people, I would add photography, Hicking/Camping/Outdoors, music festivals & solo adventures.
Music, Movies, and Books
All these over-stereotype travel movies that makes you wanna quit your job and book a flight as soon as the hours-and-a-half long of beautiful views and travel quotes is over.. ex.: the beach, into the wild, 2 frogs dans l'ouest (french-canadian one), 160 degrees west, bluecrush, chasing mavericks, etc.
For what concern music, I am a total two-faced one:
EDM festival goer --> Progressive house, trap, chillsteph, Tech house --> Tritonal, Hardwell, GTA, Adventure Club, Kygo, Emancipator, etc.
Hippy Cheesy Travelin' soul --> Indie rock, folk --> Mumford &Sons, Of Monsters and Mens, Passenger, Trevor Hall, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Really can't anwser this question. I'm the one that is amazed at the glance of a tall tree, or a bright color flower, or when I feel the breeze on my face... I get amazed by the simplest things ever... So among all the things I've done/seen in the past 20 years I've been on earth, I trully can't make a choice.
