About Me

Current mission: away from my home to be an au pair in Europe (till 2019 summer), when I am back in Taiwan I will sure arrange to help out with couchsurfing when there is a good chance!

I come from Taiwan, a bustling and lively country in East Asia. I cherish the opportunity to help with a counseling hotline in my country, since interacting with and helping out different people not only give my chances to know more stories about every unique individual, but also make me cherish what I have more.
Now I am living in Brussels as an au pair. It's such an exciting experience full of surprises and challenges, and I enjoy what I go through each day in my life.
I enjoy not only quite and slow moments, but also the lively and fast ones in my life. Thinking and experiencing life are important parts of my life, and I am willing to share and also listen from others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being an au pair in Europe gives me opportunity to meet people I've never met, and know the things I've never known. I received many people's help here while traveling and living, and I wish I can be the one to introduce you about my homeland and the people there, also I can meet up people and share a part of their lives through couchsurfing!

My hobbies are dancing, reading and writing, watching movies, traveling, swimming, and volunteering. I have learned Taiwanese folk dance for about ten years, and I enjoy dancing very much!

Actor: Tom Hanks
Music: Folk music from different places
Books: The Alchemist, The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to India with friends in university to held an English summer camp for local children who were lack of education resources. These experiences allowed me to know more about different culture and people by getting along with them and trying to assimilate into their life.
Helped out as a volunteer of a free counseling hotline gives me unforgettable memories! The people I met or talked with share their deep feelings and thoughts about lives. I've never expected that I can go through that much with these beautiful people.
Decided to quit my job and come to Europe as an au pair.

(Actually everything in my life to me are all amazing, since I will never know what will happened next!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you Chinese Folk Dance, simple recipe from Taiwan.(I am still learning to be a good cook)
And I would enjoy anything you would want to share with me about your life, because everything to me will be whole new.
I am totally a beginner of French and cooking, and would be glad to learn more!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience and thoughts about volunteering, counseling and life philosophy.
I learned Chinese Folk Dance since I was 10 years old and love it very much. And I enjoy many other traditional Chinese art like Taiwanese Opera, calligraphy, or the culture and history here!
Of course if you want to learn a bit of Chinese I am absolutely glad to help!
And even if you just to want to have a small chat about life, it will be great for me to join. I love to be a listener of other people's life story.
