About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to travel the world and meet locals.

ABOUT ME

I am a 29-yo laid back guy. Nurse by profession, but don't worry I will not lecture you if you don't wash your hands after using the bathroom. I will only judge you and refuse to share food with you. hehe just kidding...kinda.
I tend to have a busy work schedule, but I always have time for friends and family. Although work is an important part of my life, friends and family always come first.

I think what most of us here have in common is that we want to see the world, and we count on each other to make our trips more affordable. The doors to my apartment are open and I would love to host people from all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Never take anything too seriously. Learn to relax and cope with difficulties. "Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand."
Enjoy life day-by-day, but also know how to plan for your future, even though future is uncertain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a few travelers and they were awesome! Unfortunately, I do travel quite often (specially during the summer) so I am not able to host as often as I'd like to.
I've also been hosted a couple of times and it was a good experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted two people and both of them were great. A lot of stories were shared and I enjoyed playing tour-guide (although I wasn't able to join them). But I think they were satisfied with my tips and directions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Cien anios de soledad, Conversacion en la catedral, One for the money (and its series), A child called it.
Movies: Titanic, The Pianist, Dear John, Mean Girls :)
Music: I listen to everything (Pop, rock, cumbia, house, alternative, salsa, merengue, bachata, country, etc).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen wonderful places like Machupicchu, and the Iguazu Falls.
I went snorkeling in South Africa and a bunch of Dolphins were swimming next to me. I counted a total of 25. One of the best experiences I've had.
I have also seen cool surgeries while I was shadowing a cousin of mine who is a doctor at a very poor hospital in Peru. This guy came in with a gunshot on his abdomen...the surgeons had to get the bullet out, and cut part of his intestines and then sew them back together...it was a pretty intense thing to see, but the guy was safe after the surgery. That was great.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn other languages...Portuguese, French, Italian, Korean, Chinese, etc...At least basic words to get me through a trip.
I play tennis and also volleyball, so if anyone is interested in playing/learning one or both of those sports I'll be more than happy to play with!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, England, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
