关于我

Hello Guys! I'm Aurangzeb, a 43-year-old exporter from the incredible city of Mumbai, India.

First and foremost, I am a family man. My world revolves around my wife, our three wonderful children, and my parents, who all live with me in a bustling, happy home. My wife is my greatest support; she not only manages our home with grace but is also a key pillar in my business and life journey.

Professionally, I am the proprietor of Mughals Group, involved in Seeds and Fertilizers trading. I graduated from the University of Mumbai and have built a business that connects me with people all over the world.

But for me, business has always been about more than just transactions; it's about building lasting relationships. A core part of my philosophy is to invite my international clients to my office and, more importantly, to my home. I believe the best way to build trust is to let them experience Indian culture firsthand—to share our food, our customs, and the warmth of my family. This personal touch is the foundation of the long-term business and personal relationships I cherish.

I carry this same philosophy to Couchsurfing. I see it as an extension of my home. I travel to learn and connect, and I host to share and welcome. I look forward to exchanging stories, sharing a home-cooked meal (I can tell you all about Indian spices!), and building genuine friendships across the globe.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As a businessman and exporter from the vibrant city of Mumbai, my life involves constant travel. While I see many hotel rooms and conference centers, I rarely get to experience the true heartbeat of the places I visit.

That's why I'm here on Couchsurfing.

I believe the best way to understand a country is not just through its business deals, but through the home-cooked meals, the local stories, and the genuine connections made with its people. I travel to learn—to explore local food markets, understand regional fashion trends, and immerse myself in the culture beyond the tourist brochures.

I see Couchsurfing as a bridge. It’s a chance to move beyond the formalities of business and connect with people on a human level. In return, I am excited to share the rich culture, incredible food, and warm hospitality of my own home, Maharashtra, India. I would be delighted to cook a traditional Indian meal for you or share stories about the history behind my name!

For me, this platform is about building genuine friendships and cultural exchange, one conversation at a time.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: For me, music has no borders. I find equal joy in the classic melodies of Bollywood sung by the great Mohammad Rafi, the iconic energy and rhythm of Michael Jackson, and the soul-stirring depth of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Qawwalis. My perfect travel experience includes discovering the unique sound of traditional folk music from the local region.

My love for cinema is as diverse as my travels. I cherish the classic dramas and vibrant musicals of Bollywood, but I also deeply appreciate the powerful, realistic stories of Indian parallel cinema. For a fun escape, I enjoy Hollywood action blockbusters and a good family comedy that everyone can enjoy. I'm always eager to get recommendations for must-see international films that capture the spirit of your country.

Books: I'm a keen learner, so I tend towards non-fiction: history, business, and biographies. I'm always looking for book recommendations that offer insight into your local culture or history.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hosting the World at My Table

One of the most amazing and rewarding things I do is regularly open my home in Mumbai to international clients. I don't just meet them in offices; I invite them into my life. They share meals with my entire family—my wife, three children, and my parents.

It’s a beautiful thing to see a business discussion transform into a cultural exchange over a home-cooked Indian meal. Watching a client from another continent try a new spice, explain our traditions to their children over a video call, or laugh with my father is a true joy. I've built a global business not just on the quality of my products, but on the foundation of these genuine, cross-cultural friendships. Turning my home into a small embassy of Indian hospitality is my proudest achievement.

教,学,和分享

I believe the best journeys are those where you both give and receive. Here’s what I hope to bring to our exchange:

I Can Teach You About:

The Spices of Life: The real secrets behind Indian cooking. I can show you how to use spices like turmeric, cumin, and cardamom to create authentic, simple Indian dishes.

Bollywood 101: The history, the music, the drama! I can give you a personal introduction to the incredible world of Indian cinema beyond the stereotypes.

Business, Indian-Style: The importance of building personal relationships and trust (visvas) before signing contracts. I can share how business is done with a personal touch in India.

I Want to Learn About:

Your Local Traditions: The stories behind your festivals, your customs, and your family traditions. What makes your culture unique?

Your Cuisine: I am passionate about food. I would love to learn how to cook a simple, traditional dish from your family or region.

Your Perspective: I am always curious to learn about local history, current events, and daily life from a resident's point of view, not a tour guide's.

I Can Share With You:

A Taste of Mumbai: I always travel with a small packet of excellent Indian chai tea and spices. I would be delighted to share them and make you a proper cup of chai.

Stories and Laughter: I enjoy sharing stories about my travels, my family, and the funny moments of running an international business from Mumbai.

Open-mindedness and Respect: I am a guest in your home and your country. I share my respect for your rules, your time, and your culture.

For me, sharing is the greatest joy of traveling. If I have the privilege of being your guest, I would be delighted to share:

1. A Authentic Indian Meal: I love to cook and would be honored to prepare a traditional home-cooked Indian meal for you and your family/friends. I can show you how we use spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander not just for taste, but for health and well-being. Let's create a delicious memory together in your kitchen.

2. The Stories Behind the Spices: As an exporter, I don't just trade goods; I trade stories. I can share the fascinating journey of seeds and spices—from the farms of India to tables around the world. It’s a story of agriculture, tradition, and global connection.

3. The Magic of Indian Cinema (Bollywood): Whether it's the golden era classics or the latest hits, I can give you a personal guided tour of Bollywood. We can watch a film together, and I'll explain the cultural nuances, the music, and the drama that makes it so unique.

4. Warm Indian Hospitality: I believe in treating my host's home with the same respect and care as my own. I am tidy, respectful of your space and time, and happy to adapt to your household rhythms. I aim to be a guest who feels like a friend.

5. Laughter and Conversation: I am happy to share stories from my travels, my life running a business, and the joys of raising a large family in Mumbai. I enjoy thoughtful conversations about culture, history, and life.

6. A Small Taste of India: I often travel with some excellent Indian chai tea and a few spices. I would love to make you a proper cup of masala chai so you can experience a true taste of Indian warmth and hospitality.
