About Me

My Name is Aurelius. I am 18 years old and finished Highschool this and have now taken on the adventure of backpacking around the world. My passion is aerospace engineering and my free time is spent building model airplanes or other contraptions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish to meet new friends and have authentic experiences around the world.

Interests

Aerospace Engineering is my passion. Most I do has something to do with it. I‘m a very sporty guy and always try to find a way to exercise. I really like playing basketball though I am not that good. Throughhiking is something I have only dabbled in but that I would like to do more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Frank Herberts Dune for its thrilling storytelling, breathtaking imagination and its meaning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After returning from a multi-day hiking trip in the Slovakian low Tatras I had hoped to take a bus to Banská Bystrica from where I wanted to go to Budapest directly. Sadly, the bus was nowhere to be found and I decided to hitchhike. This turned out to be a great decision as only a few minutes after I held out my thumb, Martin stopped in his VW Golf and loaded my backpack into his trunk. He even spoke about German. We talked about our different and cultures experiences. I had great fun and learned things i otherwise would never had. Additionally, after Martin recommended it, I stayed in Banska Bystrica for some authentic food and architecture. In a few hours I saw more than I had taken in in the days before. And all this only because Martin pulled up in his VW Golf.

Teach, Learn, Share

It is often those who have the least who share the most. Somehow the also are the happiest, so share if you can and if you can‘t someone will share your burden if you treat them kindly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am willing to work hard and help out with everything I can. I‘m an avid cook and I don‘t fear to clean.
