ABOUT ME

I'm willing to try any kind of food at least once. My cousin Lee lives in Columbia, and once brought back fried ants.. Tasted terrible, but I gave it a try :).

My name is Jacob and I am a college student majoring in accounting, and planning on getting a masters in physician assistant studies. Honestly it is a very simple job, that earns a good wage, and has almost no liability. It will give me a great lifestyle (little stress, and lots of free time). I do not want work to take control of my life. If I had it my way I would never have to work, and have nothing but free time to travel, exercise, eat healthy, and meet new people.

I am very open minded; I never reject others thoughts or feelings.

I recently joined CS after hearing about all of the fun and interesting experiences that other couchsurfers have had. My older sister is a member, and has nothing but good things to say about CS and the people involved. My friend Alexa invited me to several CS parties in Austin TX I had a great time. Everyone I met was very genuine, which is very rare.I left the united states for the first time this summer. I am currently in Norway with my sister and staying with family friends. I plan on visiting as many European countries as possible in the next couple of weeks.

I have lived in Austin Texas my entire life. Austin is a very fun and unique city. My friends and I are always around town finding something fun to do. There are many nice places to swim and soak up the sun.

I love working out, running, playing volleyball, soccer, frisbee, and other outside activities.

PHILOSOPHY

I do not have any set religion. Nor do I frown upon any religion. I am open to all beliefs. In general I believe that anything is possible. Therefore, no one belief is wrong or right in my book. I think everyone should take steps in order to enjoy life. A lot of people in todays world prioritize money over happiness, and I think thats crazy. People should figure out what they are passionate about and pursue it. I love philisophical debate, so if anyone is up to it please share your thoughts. I would love your input.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couchsurfing myself. However, I have accompanied a friend to a couple of couchsurfing parties here in Austin. I do plan on checking out some of the local events, and online events within the organization.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met several couchsurfers here in Austin. They all seem to be very cool and laid back people. I have never had a bad experience, or met someone I did not like who is a member of couchsurfing.

Interests

I love being active. Anything to get out of the house and go enjoy the weather. I'm also big on lifting weights and running. I enjoy swimming as well. I enjoy playing every sport which I have tried so far. I like watching movies, playing video games, and jammin' music as well. I like going out to eat, and trying new things. I love enjoying the company of others. Whether it be for a glass of coffee, or a night at the club.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all genres of film and music. I mostly listen to hip hop music, texas country, and alternative rock. I watch a lot of movies ranging from comedy to horror. I am not too big on romance flicks, but do enjoy some. I like adventure novels. Anything about a spy and I'm sold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Volcanoes in Hawaii, and Lake Tahoe in California. I have surfed in Hawaii, snowboarded in several states, and been SKYDIVING in North Carolina.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn how to dance, and how to cook. Those are a couple skills on my bucket list. As far as teaching goes, I am a great person to advise people on how to live healthy. I know how to make exercise fun for others. Also I can give valuable advice on diet and a healthy mindset.
