Growing up in Alaska provided me with many very exciting opportunities throughout my childhood. It wasn't until I left Alaska to attend University in California and Canada that I realized how unique my upbringing was. Working on fishing boats, seeing bear and moose on my way to school, hiking up large mountains in order to snowboard world class snow; these experiences provided me with perspectives and ideas, not necessarily better, but different than many other North Americans.

All that being said, I'm pretty shy until I become comfortable with people therefore I'm not very good at writing biographies about myself.

I've never been to Europe before and I'm very interested to learn about the areas I visit and the people who live in those areas. I've never couchsurfed before but it seems like a perfect way to meet interesting people who can provide me with authentic experiences.
