HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would like to meet a few folks in the network, other than my nephew. Seems like a great idea and its too bad it wasn't available a couple of decades ago.

Interests

Pretty varied interests. I grow orchids, brew ale, like to read, write, hike, take photos, and sail. Trained GS leader.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only ONE????
I climbed (OK, strolled up) Mt. Inyangani, the highest peak in Zimbabwe (8504 ft/2592 m). I have climbed higher peaks, but that was one of the most unusual settings. Loved getting to the top of Mauna Kea (13,803 ft/4207 m) with all its telescopes, but you can drive all the way up.
and... I have given over 100 orchid lectures, in several countries.
